Tinnitus Awareness Week 2018

The Hearing Care Centre is once again showing it's support for a national awareness week, highlighting a condition that affects around one in ten people across the UK.

National Tinnitus Week, organised by the British Tinnitus Association runs between 5th and 11th February 2018. It's aim, along with it's 2018 campaign "Kidz Talk Tinnitus" is to raise awareness about the condition itself and the support that is available.

Tinnitus is a noise such as a ringing or buzzing that you can hear, but the noise does not come from outside your ear.

The Hearing Care Centre, which has 25 centres across East Anglia is helping to raise awareness locally across Suffolk and Norfolk.

For many people, tinnitus is a consequence of hearing loss. There are many fantastic hearing aids available nowadays that have tinnitus features designed into them. Throughout the week we will be showcasing these products and have some fantastic offers available.

Tinnitus is a very misunderstood condition and many suffer in silence. We urge those people to book an appointment so that they can gain some valuable advice.

During Tinnitus Awareness Week the British Tinnitus Association will be highlighting the valuable support service it provides and hopes to raise awareness of the freephone helpline, 0800 018 0527, and website, www.tinnitus.org.uk
